Welcome to the
LAPD Command Officers Association (COA) Wellness Program
in Partnership with Behavioral Science Services
“If it wasn’t for the COA Wellness Program, I would not have known about my cardiovascular issues.”

What is the COA Wellness Program?
The COA Wellness Program is a joint Command Officers Association (COA) and Behavioral Science Services (BSS) wellness initiative which began in 2014. The program is administered by the COA and facilitated by BSS, the Department’s long-standing health and wellness division, which also provides many of the program’s health and education services.
The Wellness Program is open to all active COA members (i.e., sworn commanding officers). Each calendar year, members have the opportunity participate in health screenings, enhance their health behaviors, and obtain both general and personalized health education, with the goal of ensuring life-long health and wellness. Additionally, participants can earn monetary incentives based on level of participation. This is a self-funded program through the COA.
